Late again

I’m giving this social bookmarking thing the old once-over (see new box on right). The benefit: seems a lot easier than posting links here. The downside: seems a lot easier than posting links here. Ideally, the fulfillment of one of the Machine’s basic functions through automation will usher in…an Unprecedented Era of Original Content! Heh.

I’ve got one. Hiking a few weeks ago, I realized I had a phrase stuck in my head like a song. I believe it was “What in blue blazes.” The same thing sorta happened with the word “unprecedented” today (see above). The phenomenon isn’t as infectious as song-stuck-in-headitis, but there’s a similar feeling of subliminal attachment to the object and a similar sense of relief/satisfaction when it gets used. Anyone else get this? This is probably one of the reasons my writing process starts with a brain dump rather than an outline. I shit out all (uh, most) of my cheesy/overwrought/sensational turns of phrase before they contaminate the product.
